Andrew O’Dell Named Interim Executive Director
at Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments

(St. Louis, August 17, 2023) – Andrew O’Dell has been named Interim Executive Director of Delta Gamma Center for Children

with Visual Impairments (DGC). O’Dell served as President of the Board since 2022, has been a board member since 2018, and a volunteer for more than a decade.

The mission of DGC is to help children who are blind or visually impaired reach their full potential through family-centered specialized services and community support. O’Dell’s transition into the Interim Executive Director position follows the departure of Jodi Woessner, who left her role due to family circumstances.

“Delta Gamma Center has been my passion for years. I’m delighted to step into this new role to provide the organization ample time to identify a permanent Executive Director,” says O’Dell. “So many positive things are happening at the Center, and we plan to enter this upcoming holiday season with renewed energy towards our classic fundraising events. Our annual Shining Light Tree Lot and Holiday House events have become St. Louis traditions and we will soon be announcing some exciting new plans.”

Delta Gamma Center has been a leader in serving children with visual impairments and their families in the St. Louis metro area since 1952. “After devastating water damage last July, we are excited that our building in Richmond Heights is finally open and fully operational,” adds O’Dell. “Services have continued to be provided to children and families, but as we look to the future, we are excited to be adding additional staff and expanding our services to St. Louis area families.”
