At DGCKids, every year is filled with meaningful moments, and 2025 was no exception. As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for the children, families, volunteers, staff, board members, and community partners who make our work possible every day.
Our 2025 Scrapbook Video captures just a glimpse of the experiences, milestones, and everyday moments that shaped this incredible year.
Celebrating Growth and Milestones
Throughout 2025, children and families participated in services and programs designed to support development, build confidence, and foster independence. From Early Intervention services in homes and at the Center to recreational and social opportunities for school-age children, each interaction helped create opportunities for learning and connection.
Many children reached exciting milestones this year – learning new skills, building friendships, exploring new environments, and gaining confidence in their abilities. Families celebrated Early Intervention graduations, participated in group events, and connected with other families navigating similar journeys.
Adventure, Recreation, and Community Connection
Programs like Tandem Adventurers and Group Recreation and Developmental Support (GRADS) gave children opportunities to challenge themselves, try new activities, and build lasting friendships.
Throughout the year, participants climbed rock walls, explored adaptive skiing, trained and rode tandem bicycles, and took part in community outings that encouraged teamwork and confidence. These programs would not be possible without the dedication of volunteers who share their time and enthusiasm with each child.
Family events and seasonal celebrations also provided opportunities for connection and support. Whether gathering for ice skating, holiday celebrations, or sensory-friendly outings, these moments helped strengthen the DGCKids community and remind families that they are not alone.
A Community That Makes It All Possible
The heart of DGCKids is the community that surrounds each child and family. Volunteers prepare materials, assist at events, serve as tandem cycling captains, and offer encouragement during recreational programs. Board members provide leadership and guidance that helps move our mission forward. Donors and community partners provide the support that allows services and programs to remain accessible to families.
Each person plays an important role in helping children build confidence, explore their world, and thrive!
Looking Ahead
While we are proud to reflect on 2025, we are equally excited about what lies ahead. The experiences captured in our scrapbook video remind us that progress happens through connection, dedication, and community.
To every family who trusts DGCKids, every volunteer who gives their time, every supporter who invests in our mission, and every partner who walks alongside us, thank you for being part of this journey.
Together, we look forward to celebrating 75 years of DGCKids in 2026!
