We are excited to introduce Ashley Foley as the newest member of the DGCKids team! Ashley joins us as a GRADS Facilitator, where she’ll work alongside high school students who are blind or visually impaired as they build confidence, independence, and future goals.
Ashley’s own life experiences as a visually impaired adult bring a unique perspective that allows her to connect meaningfully with the young people she serves. She knows firsthand the importance of inclusion, encouragement, and community, and she brings that understanding into every interaction with students and families.
In addition to her new role with DGCKids, Ashley serves as the Project Coordinator for the Missouri DeafBlind Project and is currently pursuing certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) at Missouri State University. Her background includes supporting refugee and English language learner students, leading as a preschool board president, and mentoring with Empower Abilities.
Beyond her professional roles, Ashley is also a mom of three. Her commitment to building strong, supportive communities extends into her personal life, where she demonstrates every day that young people can achieve their dreams when they are supported and included.
We’re thrilled to have Ashley’s experience, insight, and leadership as part of the DGCKids family. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
