Why Vision Screening?

It’s often difficult to detect vision problems in young children. They may not be able to communicate their concerns, or they may believe that their vision is normal. However, with 80 to 90 percent of learning being visual, children with vision concerns risk developmental delays that can affect them academically and socially.

Vision screening in early childhood can change a child’s life trajectory. It gives them the chance to thrive, both in school and in life.

Our Focus

We prioritize providing free vision screenings for children who are at risk or may not otherwise have access to care. These screenings take place at childcare centers, preschools, and community events, meeting families where they are. Our goal is to remove barriers and make it as simple as possible for every child to receive the vision care they need in their earliest years.

Through partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community programs, we are able to reach children who might otherwise go without a screening. Our dedicated team of professionals brings both expertise and compassion, ensuring that each screening is done with care, precision, and sensitivity to the needs of young children and their families.

By offering screenings in familiar and convenient settings, we make early detection more accessible for families who may struggle with cost, transportation, or availability of services. This proactive approach enables us to identify potential vision concerns earlier, provide referrals for follow-up care, and offer parents valuable information to support their child’s healthy development.
