DGC Programs

From the moment of diagnosis, the Delta Gamma Center (DGC) provides life-changing services to help ensure children can reach their full potential. Founded approximately 72 years ago, DGC is the only organization in the greater St. Louis area specializing in educational, therapeutic, and supportive services for children, birth to high school graduation, who are blind or visually impaired and their families.

It is our vision that children who are blind or visually impaired achieve their full potential, have strong relationships with family and friends, and equal opportunities to participate, contribute, and lead joyful lives.

Vision Screening
This program provides free vision screenings to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (six months to six years) within the Greater St. Louis area (MO and IL) at childcare centers, preschools, and community settings. Free vision screenings for children from six months of age to 18 years old are provided at the Center on the third Tuesday of each month. Please email Noreen Conte at nconte@dgckids.org to make an appointment!

Early Intervention
This program is designed to support infants and young children up to 36 months of age who are blind or visually impaired, along with their devoted parents and caregivers. Our heartfelt approach includes tailored educational and therapy services, delivered right to your doorstep through compassionate home visits. Each visit is a journey of growth and empowerment, providing personalized family trainings focused on nurturing your child’s development according to your unique priorities. Together, we’re building a brighter future, one step at a time. Please email Lisa Rohr at lrohr@dgckids.org for additional information.

Family Support
Family support services are designed to help parents develop a network of support as they learn to cope with their children’s diagnoses, develop effective parenting skills, access community resources, and strive for a high quality of life for their child with visual impairments and all members of their families.
Please email Whitney Moore at wmoore@dgckids.org for additional information.
