After careful consideration, DGCKids decided to retire the Shining Light Tree Lot. This decision was not made lightly, as the Tree Lot has brought joy to many for the last 72 years.

Unfortunately, after careful analysis, it became apparent that the Tree Lot has not been yielding the fundraising results we need to continue to support visually impaired children and their families.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us. Your enthusiasm and dedication have been truly inspiring from volunteers to loyal customers. Though the Tree Lot will be missed, we’re thrilled to explore new opportunities and traditions that will continue to bring our community together. 

For families planning to pick out a Christmas tree, we encourage you to visit our friends at Daniel’s Farm for a fantastic selection – and you’ll be supporting a local gem!

Mondays – CLOSED
Tuesdays – CLOSED
Wednesdays – 4 to 8 pm
Thursdays – 4 to 8 pm
Fridays – 4 to 8 pm
Saturdays – 10 am to 7 pm
Sundays – 11 am to 7 pm
Thank you to everyone who came out to purchase a tree, wreath, and garland during Opening Weekend! With your generosity, we raised over $39,000 towards our goal of $125,000!

As a volunteer, you’ve got the power to pick as many shifts as your heart desires. We’ve got a role for everyone – whether you’re a natural-born leader, tree-trimming pro, math wizard at the cash register, or just a big-hearted greeter. But here’s where the holiday magic really kicks in –grab your crew, whether they’re from your office, your neighborhood, or even your school. This tree lot is where teams, civic heroes, work buddies, families, and friends unite, all wrapped up in the holiday spirit!

The Shining Light Tree Lot has a long history of inspiring holiday spirit and encouraging support for children with visual impairments. In 2023, we are
celebrating our 72nd year of this tradition. The Tree Lot offers a variety of tree types and sizes, beautiful wreaths, holiday greenery, and tree accessories.
