Even though face-to-face training is preferred, busy parents are often not able to participate in lengthy group training sessions. You, Your Baby, and Anophthalmia

This video provides support and information to families of children with Anophthalmia and Micropthalmia. It includes excerpts from parents about their initial feelings, tips on addressing the unique needs of their children, getting support for themselves, and encourages hope for their childrens' future. Excerpts from professionals include information on important medical and educational considerations as well as available resources. The video is made possible through a grant from The Golf For Kids Charitable Trust, Inc, and was produced by Andy Ruhlin at 3 by 4, Inc. This board game teaches people about moving from early intervention services to early childhood special education services. It was inspired by parents facing this transition with their children, and is complete with a folding board, game cards and pieces. It is a fun, easy way to help parents and professionals understand the transition process, special education law, and the importance of the Individualized Education Plan. Players start on the early intervention square and must answer question cards before rolling the dice to progress towards early childhood special education services. The questions are based on those actually asked by parents who were going through this process. A complete answer key is provided and practical tips for a smooth transition are shared.
