THE DELTA GAMMA CENTER WELCOMES FIVE NEW BOARD MEMBERS

ST. LOUIS — OCTOBER 9TH, 2007 — The Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments is pleased to announce the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors. The new board members officially began their three-year terms July 1, 2007. They include:

Kary Loughlin Bachert, a former teacher in the Rockwood School District, has been a long-time Delta Gamma devotee. As a University of Missouri-Columbia alumnus, Bachert's strong Delta Gamma background developed through her heavy involvement in the Mu Chapter.

Melissa Brueggeman, a licensed CPA, is currently working as the compensation manager for Monsanto Company. As both a Washington University and University of Missouri-Columbia alumnus, her financial leadership has been exemplified through her key positions at Monsanto, Charter Communications, and Deloitte & Touche.

Robyn Huhn was employed at AT&T for nearly 10 years before deciding to devote her days to her two sons, Will and Jack. Huhn is currently president of the St. Louis Area Chapter of the Delta Gamma Fraternity and has been actively involved in several other organizations such as Bonhomme Presbyterian Church and Rossman School.

Ed Maglasang holds a B.S. in finance from St. Louis University and is currently community bank president for People's National Bank. Maglasang's nonprofit experience has accumulated through serving as a board member for Habitat for Humanity, CWIT (Center for Women in Transition), Urban Stages, and Urban Land Institute.

Charles Walch, president and founder of 1st Choice Courier and Distribution, is a proven entrepreneur who has founded and grown delivery services ranging in staff size from four to 290 people. Walch is heavily involved at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster Groves and has been a member of the Young Entrepreneur's Organization since 2001.

"All of these individuals are outstanding leaders in their communities and will be valuable complements that enhance the existing expertise of the Delta Gamma Center Board members," says Chairman of the Board Elizabeth Yount. "We are confident they will continue our commitment to strengthen the bond between children with visual impairments, their families, and the community."

ABOUT THE DELTA GAMMA CENTER FOR CHILDREN WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS

The Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments is the only agency in the St. Louis area that specializes in services for infants and toddlers who are blind or visually impaired, and their families. The Center provides early intervention services for children birth to age three, including parent-child classes, education and therapy services. A variety of family support services—including individual support services and groups for parents, grandparents, siblings and children with visual impairments—are available for families with children of all ages. The Center serves families in Missouri and Illinois residing within a 50-mile radius of their office.
